Hotel Ilunion San Mamés

First off, the staff was excellent in answering our questions and helping us with figuring out how and when to get to the airport. While not located in downtown Bilbao, the property is close enough to the economically-priced streetcar that the distance is negligible. (And it's a scenic walking route to downtown and the Guggenheim should one choose.) We appreciated the eco-friendly packaging of toiletries, the separate twin beds, and the heavy curtains that were effective at blocking the sunlight.

A very new, very well designed and decorated hotel, with perfect breakfast and excellent rooms at a great location. The hotel has a very unique style, with its futuristic lobby area, corridors and rooms. The furniture quality in the rooms, except the bed is great. The bathroom is very nice. The breakfast is perfect and beyond expectations. Very large variety of very good quality food in a very well decorated eating area. The room service staff are great. The location is excellent, the hotel is geographically located just on the bus terminal, near metro and tram stations. Very close to Stadium San Mames, Doña Casilda Park, Zubiarte Shopping Mall. It is very easy to reach any part of the city from the hotel's location. The new and modern Ilunion Hotels, anywhere in Spain, with the breakfast and facilities is beyond any other option after our stay from my perspective.

Could not be closer to the bus station (zero noise from there, although some of the rooms will overlook the main plaza & an active building site (in summer 2023). 10 minutes walk from nice areas of bars, only about 15 minutes from the Guggenheim. Chilled water & nibbles were a nice touch in the lobby. Absolutely fine in terms of cleanliness & quietness for the room we had, even more so if you need to access buses.

Everything was fine. The room was spacious and quiet and the bed was comfortable. All appliances worked very well and were very useful. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the cleaning was done every day and the breakfast was awesome. Additional plus for the location close to the bus station, the metro and the football stadium.

The hotel is amazing! This is a real 4 star hotel. Rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfortable. It is very clean and we had tea and coffee at our disposal. The hotel is well located. There are multiple public transports next to the hotel. The price is great for this type of accommodation. We travelled by car so we used the parking lot in the hotel which costed €15 per day. It was convinient but pricey. However, we were also told that it is the cheapest place to park in the city. All things considered, the hotel is perfect.
